Websites for the Goldfields

Your name stays.
Everything else can go.

We make your business a new website first — one page, with the lot on it — and you look at it before you pay anything. Then it is $80 a month, including GST, and we look after it. Built in Smythesdale, for Ballarat and the Goldfields only.

Who this is for

Good at the job.
Website from 2014.
Email ends in bigpond.

Every good business within an hour of Smythesdale that looks like it needs a hand. We know, because we drive past them.

Tradies

Earthmovers, sparkies, fencers. The bloke in Haddon with three trucks and one phone number that still works.

Shops and studios

The hairdresser, the fish and chip shop, the jeweller on the main street of a Goldfields town. Places people already love and cannot find.

Anyone who’s had a go

A site your nephew built, a logo from an app, a Facebook page doing all the work. Nothing wrong with any of it. Let us have a go at the rest.

What’s in the $80

All of it.

10 things. One price.

  • A new look

Colours that are yours, a face for your name, and a creature if you want one.

  • A proper website

One page, with the lot on it — nobody hunts through a menu for your phone number. Works on a phone, because that is where it will be read.

  • Built new, not patched

No WordPress, no logins, no plugins going stale while you are on a job. One flat page: it opens on one bar of reception out past Snake Valley.

  • Photos

We make the most of the ones you have. If the page needs new ones and you are on our way, we come out. The ute, the shop, the work, you.

  • Bookings

People pick a time off your page and it turns up on your phone, in the calendar you already use.

  • Your products

What you sell, on the page, with the prices — and the buy button goes to your own Shopify or Square checkout. The money arrives where it always did.

  • Your name on Google

The listing claimed and tidied once: the map pin in the right paddock, the hours right, reviews showing.

  • An email address

you@yourbusiness.com.au, on your phone and your laptop, set up and working.

  • Hosting, and all of that

The bits with acronyms — ours to look after, not yours to log into. Certificates, backups, the renewal that always lapses in January.

  • Changes, when you want them

New number, new price, closed for the long weekend. Text it through, usually done in a day. If it turns into a standing job, nothing lands on a bill you have not agreed to.

You see it first. You pay after.

  1. 01

    We make one first

Your name, your town, what you do — the whole thing on one page, at its own unlisted address, marked as a concept and kept out of Google, sent to you the next day.

  2. 02

    You say yes, or no

No is fine: the concept comes down that day and nothing lingers. Yes, and your domain stays yours, in your name. If you have not got one, we register one in your name that afternoon.

  3. 03

Live in a week, give or take

Photos in, words right, Google listing tidied, email working. Then it is $80 a month from the day it goes up, or $800 for the year.

  4. 04

    Text us the changes

That is the whole arrangement. There is a person at the other end and his name is Huey.

The work

Already live.

1 so far, on its own domain.

Chepstowe Vineyard

Carngham

Five wines with their notes and prices, and a cellar door open weekends from 12 to 5, with a charcuterie board.

chepstowevineyard.com.au

A lobster a week.

The website

$80

a month, or $800 a year. Including GST.

The look, your new website, and someone looking after it. If it belongs on a small business website, it is in the $80.

No setup fee. No contract.

Anything else

Quoted first.

Hundreds of products, memberships, a booking system with real rules in it — or a standing job, an A-frame, the ute door. You get the number before we start, and there is no markup on anybody else’s bill.

Booking and payment platform subscriptions and transaction fees are separate, paid to the provider. We add no markup.

Yours to keep.

The domain, artwork and website files are yours. They come with you if you leave.

Cancel any time.

Pay monthly by direct debit, or $800 up front for a year. Cancel the annual plan and we refund the unused days pro rata, based on the $800 you paid.

We would rather you stayed because it is good.

Text Huey.

Your business name and your town is enough. We’ll make the first one and send it to you. No meeting, nothing to sign.

If a website will not get more people through your gate, we will say so.

Or leave it here

Huey will make the first one and email it to you, usually within a day. No mailing list.

Huey has built websites for over fifteen years — Telstra, Medibank, Officeworks, Racing Australia and Dumb Ways to Die. He lives in Smythesdale, and he is the one who answers.

The drawing and the first draft are done with the new tools, so yours can be made before you have paid us anything. A person looks at every one before you do.

Goldfields only — Smythesdale, Ballarat and the Golden Plains, up to Bendigo and Castlemaine.
